Struggling Saturdays: The trials of being a responsible student

Most of my Saturdays in Ada are usually occupied by sleep. However, due to a surprise visit from a friend, the normal morning schedule was altered. After waking we made the collective decision to get breakfast from John and Toni's also called J and T's. Not knowing what time the kitchen was closing breakfast, we confidently strolled in thirty minutes after the fact. Thankfully, we were cut some slack and offered the special for the morning.

With the energy carried over from a good breakfast, I forced myself to be a responsible student and took a trip to Findlay public Library to check out some books. I could have ordered or bought them from ONU's bookstore, but with this being my last semester, I refused to spend anymore money on books. I figured why do that when getting a library card is free?

Although I was proud I put up the effort to actually be disciplined, the drive to be a good student immediately faded the second I checked out my books. Feeling accomplished with a lot of Saturday left, I decided to spend the rest of it to relax. I mean hey, there's always tomorrow. I just hope I remember how to read real books.

  1. Hey Stephen! I never thought about getting my textbooks from a public library, that's so smart! Overall it sounds like you had a great weekend! What is your favorite thing to get at J and T's?

  2. Hello Steve! I have never heard of John and Toni's. Is this restaurant located in Ada? Do you live on or off campus? Also, congratulations on your last semester! That is so exciting. Your idea to get your textbooks from the library is brilliant. I tend to rent my textbooks from Amazon, which is another cheap way to acquire textbooks. I hope your last semester of college is stress-free, easy, relaxing, and fulfilling! Goodluck!

  3. Hi Stephen! You have a cool friend! I think it's more enjoyable to go outside rather than sleeping all the day long.
